The Learner Within The Teacher

 
 

   It is aptly said in the Persian language - "bee aamoz ta-zindai" which means - There is no end to learning.  Only a learner till the end, can acquire true knowledge in life. It is the duty of every teacher to keep oneself abreast of all the developments and teaching strategies in their field. Read a lot, do proper planning of classes, prepare yourself daily for classes and deliver it with great enthusiasm. Times have changed and so must the teacher. There is abundant to read, learn and restructure as today's classroom is very different and difficult to handle than the past. Teaching is a noble profession where one has no right to play with the future of the learners. Develop virtues of honesty, integrity, punctuality,  simplicity and discipline as they are at the core of being a good teacher.  Create a conducive environment for learning and this will all be possible if you are like a learner all your life. Do not let the learner within you die else you can never survive and sustain yourself as a teacher. 
   Above all these,  show kindness towards your learners,  be empathetic towards them, do not bother what wrongs they are doing / have done in the past. As a teacher give your best with a SELFLESS attitude towards them because a teacher does not only instruct but also inspires and influences the character and life of the students through his / her conduct. Today, the internet is flooded with tons of information and everyday it keeps on adding something or the other. The learners today have access to a variety of information but do not have the wisdom and sanity to distinguish between what is right and wrong. Too much information overload has made some of the learners arrogant and full of superiority complex where they feel they have the power to underestimate the teacher, disrespect the teacher and yet with all the knowledge and arrogance they feel a lot of pressure due to the competition around them. Some are not approachable and some do not care at all for anything that is happening around. The ones who have the zeal to learn, approach the teacher but they are very few who belong to this lot. The role of a teacher can create wonders in the life of such learners. Be strict but be generous. Give the learners freedom to learn but do not let them take you for granted. Do your best for them by focusing on their well-being. Help them to acquire the right mental attitude and learning habits. Teach them to value their life and everything they have in life. Make them lifelong learners in order to stay fit - MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY in this competitive world.

 I am very choosy about each and everything that I have; but I am the most fussiest when it comes to choosing friends. I do not have a huge gang of friends but the friends I have can topple a gang for me. I am selfless, sensitive and supportive towards all my friends no matter what.
