True Friendship

I am very choosy about each and everything that I have; but I am the most fussiest when it comes to choosing friends. I do not have a huge gang of friends but the friends I have can topple a gang for me. I am selfless, sensitive and supportive towards all my friends no matter what. I am blessed with friends who makes my life fulfilling and precious. You come across people who just pretend to be friends and never value the ones who consider them as their friends. If you are a true friend you will genuinely value and nurture the relation with utmost care and sincerity. You would do anything to see a smile on the face of your friend.

A true friend is one with whom you share a deep and meaningful bond that is based on trust, mutual respect, support and affection. True friendship transcends beyond the boundaries of time, distance and mere acquaintances. The connection that true friends share is genuine, enriching and enduring. True friends must be genuine and authentic with one another without fear of judgement or pretense. The foundation of true friendship is trust; the presence of trust makes it easy for the friends to confide in one another with confidence by protecting their secrets and vulnerabilities.

Honesty is a virtue which true friends value because it aids in having difficult conversations and strengthens the bond between them. Another fundamental aspect of friendship is respect - respecting each other's individuality, opinions and boundaries. There is a give and take dynamic in true friendship. It is the duty of both the friends to contribute and invest in each other' well being and happiness. Having shared interests and values helps in making a strong connection between true friends. They stand with each other through thick and thin and are loyal and devoted to one another.

True friendship can withstand the test of time. The connection remains strong and can always be picked up from where it was left. They share their joys and sorrows and find humor in the simplest things; thus they invest in creating long - lasting memories together. They are a source of motivation for one another and inspire one another to accept the challenges that they encounter in life. The most significant qualities which true friendship must have is unconditional love and forgiveness. A profound sense of love and care for one another creates a bond that transcends expectations or conditions. There may be umpteen number of disagreements / arguments / misunderstandings but true friends can sort them out by working through these conflicts.

Forgiveness for one another makes the bond grow stronger. Forgiving one another is crucial in maintaining and strengthening their bond. Like all other relationships, friendship is also susceptible to such situations of disagreements / arguments / misunderstandings. Be empathetic and understanding towards one another. Remember that while forgiveness holds importance in a relationship; it should not be taken for granted. Repeating the same mistakes frequently or taking the other person for granted because the other person is forgiving can lead the relation to deteriorate. Thus. there must be a balance of forgiveness and accountability to sustain any friendship.

DO NOT FORGET TO NURTURE AND RECIPROCATE IN FRIENDSHIP.
